Well, it wasn't that long ago when I had everyone over at my house waiting in anticipation wondering WHERE IN THE WORLD I WAS GOING TO GO??? The clock turned 8:30 and all of my friends and family at our house and on video calling were yelling "QUIET!". Looking at my envelope I saw the see-through plastic part reading my name:
"ELDER JOSEPH JAMES MARTINEZ"
I ripped open the letter and found my mission assignment right in front of the instructional packet. Everyone was silent as I skimmed to the beginning of the note.
As soon as I had read "Paraguay" the room roared! The feeling just felt right. All of the anticipation and anxiety of where I would go immediately left my mind. Besides "Paraguay" does rhyme with "J-J" right? ;)
After researching a little about my mission I know three basic things:
- It's going to be hot!
- It's going to rain a lot!
- And, it is SUPER humid!
AWESOME!!!
There are two missions in Paraguay:
Asunción Paraguay (Mine) & the Asunción Paraguay North (Not Mine)
Asunción Paraguay (Mine) & the Asunción Paraguay North (Not Mine)
My departure date is Wednesday, May 25th, 2011 @ 1:15 PM to the Provo MTC. I leave for Paraguay July 26th, 2011.
Wish me luck!
